Auto collision injuries

Millions of people are injured in car accidents annually. Many of these accidents can result in long term disability and injury. Even if you experience little to no pain following a motor vehicle collision, seeking chiropractic care can help prevent years of chronic pain and suffering.

Most occupants get injured in motor vehicle crashes simply because of the force that’s applied to their body in a very short moment in time. Even though some injuries may not be evident with a naked eye, seeking an experienced doctor, like Dr. Levi, is a must after a motor vehicle collision.
Even though some injuries won’t present themselves right away, the key is to catch symptoms early to avoid any long term pain and discomfort.

Symptoms Commonly Associated with Car Accidents:

  • Headaches

Chiropractic Treatment After Car Accidents

Research has shown the quicker the course of care is initiated the faster the recovery time will be. Dr. Levi, takes time to personally and thoroughly examine all patients and supervises their course of treatment from beginning to end. Our motto is “you are not just a number in our office”!!

Dr. Levi first meets with you and takes a detailed history of how the injury happened. Once he has a clear understanding of what happened and analyzes the mechanism of injury, he will proceed to examine you and if necessary order imaging tests. Based on the mechanism of injury, symptoms and examination/findings diagnoses are made and a course of treatment is outlined to:

First

The first phase aims to reduce your pain and make you comfortable so that you can continue your daily activities of living.

Second

The second phase of care targets correcting and restoring mobility. This will help decrease stiffness and soreness in muscles and joints, ultimately regaining full range of motion before scar tissue can develop.

Third

The final phase of treatment will include prescribed stretches and exercises to improve overall function as well as prevent future injuries/flare-up due to weakness that may be left behind

If you are injured in a car crash, call one of our offices for an appointment before the permanency of your injuries settles in!!
